Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita the Indian Ocean’s best Golf Hotel In World Golf Awards 2015.
Double recognition for course designer, with Ernie Els being named Golf Course Designer of the Year
Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita has been named the Indian Ocean’s Best Golf Hotel in the World Golf Awards 2015, with the course’s designer also collecting the title of Golf Course Designer of the Year at the international award ceremony.
Taking place for the second time annually, the World Golf Awards recognise excellence in golf tourism, world class courses and golf destinations. The Ernie Els Design course at Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita has been a finalist for a total of four awards in the 2014 and 2015 events and now claims the title for Best Golf Hotel in the Indian Ocean 2015.
With a spectacular east coast location and six oceanfront holes, the par 72, 7,500 yard Four Seasons golf course is designed to accommodate all levels of player, while still being able to challenge even the most seasoned professional. As the host to the first ever tri-sanctioned golf tournament, the AfrAsia Bank Golf Masters, Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita will welcome professional golfers from the European Tour, Asian Tour and South African Sunshine Tour when the event takes place from May 12 to 15, 2016.
Golf is complimentary to all guests of Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita, with use of a GPS-installed buggy and pyramid of balls for the driving range also included. Other facilities at the award-winning golf resort include a choice of private instruction classes through the on-site Golf Academy, a driving range, putting and chipping greens, Pro Shop and Il Forno clubhouse restaurant.
